Delighted to announce details for this year’s15th International Malcolm Arnold Festival,
A Man for the People
Oct 17th & 18th
The festival will be running ONLINE for 3 sessions:
Saturday Morning October 17th
Saturday Evening October 17th
Sunday Afternoon October 18th
These sessions will be jam-packed with mini-recitals and short talks plus a number of exciting guest spots. Among the many performances will be a violin recital by Peter Fisher; Chamber music for 3 instruments with Jenny Dyson; a flute recital by Emma Halnan; a guitar performance by Hugh Millington and pianist Scott Mitchell will be making a special appearance. Among the talks, Janet Hilton will be speaking about her work with Malcolm on the first Clarinet Concerto, Eleanor Fox on Malcolm and his teacher, Gordon Jacob, John Griff will be presenting ‘Malcolm and David Lean’ and there will be a host of other exciting events.
Colin Lawson, principal of the Royal College of Music, will be launching the festival at 11am on Saturday.
