Arrangements are well under way now for the 16th International Malcolm Arnold Festival celebrating Malcolm's 100th Birthday. Here are a few tasters of what to expect.
We'll be beginning with a short concert of music featuring Malcolm's earliest and last pieces. Arnold for 4 (we've had for 2 and for 3!) will include music from student days, mid-period and the Irish period.
We'll have concerts of choral music, chamber music and orchestral music and, among others, a short talk on the symphonies by Tim Bowers, and a feature on our wonderful relationship with the Royal & Derngate.
Also many Malcom related celebrities will be joining us over the course of the weekend.
